Return ratings as of January 22, 2017

Players who have retired or are absent from the circuit for longer than half a year, are removed from the regular ranking list. From that moment, these players lose one rating point per day of absence. These players return to the ranking list the day they resume playing and complete their first match at WTA-, ITF- or Fed Cup level, singles or doubles. Below is the list of return rankings, which are the rankings with which the players would return if they were to resume play on this day (January 22, 2017). The ranking shown in this list is the ranking the player would have if she was inserted into the current ranking list of January 15. Return rankings are valid from 4200 points upward.
